About the artist: Born in 1962 in Fougères, Brittany, Alain Choisnet discovered his passion for sculpture and the misappropriation of objects at an early age. After exploring realistic formalization using a variety of materials and creating monumental montages, he has now turned to more expressive figuration. To convey a deeper emotional message, he has chosen bronze as his material of choice because of its warmth and nobility. His artistic aim is to inspire calm and serenity in the viewer, particularly by depicting femininity with modesty and sensuality. In short, Alain Choisnet wishes to offer a soothing vision of woman through his work. His sculptures are a true tribute to feminine beauty, brilliantly capturing a gesture, an emotion or an attitude. The natural charm that emanates from her works creates a special emotion, at once sensual, refined and full of life. Each sculpture represents a moment of life suspended in time, a story that the work seems to want to share with delicacy and that the viewer can continue to contemplate. In short, Alain Choisnet's sculptures are an ode to life and to the timeless beauty of women, sublimated by his mastery of the noble material of bronze.
