About the artist: From an early age, Woussen excelled at drawing. His father was an excellent technical draughtsman in the days of the drawing board and Indian ink. His grandfather was also a gifted sculptor. His daughter Axelle lives in Hollywood and is one of America's top celebrity photographers, and son Olivier is known as the chef and owner of the Dah Makan restaurant. Art is in the genes. Woussen trained as a painter at the Bruges Academy of Fine Arts, where he was inspired by the great master and painter Lionel Poupaert. Possessing the gift and mastering the craft, inspiration and feeling, are priorities for Woussen. Woussen also studied interior architecture and design at the Institut Saint-Luc in Brussels, then trained as a sculptor for 7 years at the Académie de Beaux Arts in Bruges. The results are figurative works and monumental sculptures. André Woussen combines his artistic life with that of architecture. He renovates villas and apartments and designs entirely new villas and country houses. Woussen: "My brain sends me instant 3D images when I'm asked for a drawing. I create new living experiences, I strip down the house or apartment, I open up spaces". Woussen is a master of ambience. He rethinks homes and creates comfort. His wife Kaatje runs the gallery and distributes the Poltrona frau, Molt
